Recommendations

John has an amazing talent and knowledge for writing comedic stories with highly memorable and relatable characters that an audience will want to root for from beginning to end. I had the great pleasure to review and evaluate John's highly imaginative and very funny and engaging screenplay, BAD ELF, as part of our Master Screenwriting Certificate Program. I instantly became engaged in John's very funny and completely relatable protagonist, Jack. John creates humorous characters with fresh and unique voices that come from their own unique wound and experiences. He has a gift for writing comedy with much of the humor originating from the clear and consistent traits of the characters, as well as weaving in suspense, twist, hope and fear to create unexpected surprises. John has also provided me with great insights and suggestions that have helped me to elevate the action, humor and overall quality of my own screenplay. I would highly recommend John for his talents and knowledge of story, screenwriting, comedy and for the great insights that he provides in reviewing and evaluating screenplays.

John's character driven comedies come from the best stuff on Earth--human suffering. With at least a laugh a page, he takes you into the world of characters who you empathize with and care for. His protagonists are not only funny, but real, with strong, developed arcs. His endings are surprising but inevitably satisfying. I highly recommend his new screenplay, LOVE BYTES, with a charming leading man that Seth Rogen would die for.
