Feature, Novel (in progress) - Paranormal/Horror A stressed-out mom of an interracial family has a hard enough time dealing with a racist ghost terrorizing her sick son and rebellious daughter, but then a demon comes to collect on her husband's debt. Set in a Chicago suburb in the 1980s, when Prince was king and Star Wars was a far away galaxy explored in the many toys spilled across the living room floor, Still Skin spins together a fairy tale, ghosts, demons, issues with racial identity, pop culture, and a dash of Hoodoo whenever Mama's around. The feature script is complete and I am currently working on the novel, publishing it in small "episodes" on the Kindle Vella platform. Download the first three episodes. View on Vella. |
